Sábado fructífero.

Como me he dado cuenta de que es mi blog y puedo saltarme el órden lógico y cronológico de las cosas para no abrumaros, programo este post para hoy martes, para contaros lo que me traje entre manos este pasado sábado por la mañana.

I came to the conclusion that this is after all my blog and I am allowed to skip around chronologically and not make any sense if I want to. I'm programming this so you can read it on Tuesday although I'm basically going to talk about what I did on Saturday.

Como mencioné en esta entrada anterior, me chocó mucho eso de que no se pudieran hacer fotos en Tarta&Arte, ya que tenía unas ganas increíbles de poder compartir las fotos con vosotros. Pero me quedé con el email del establecimiento y esa misma noche me metí en su página de Facebook. Al ver que no tenían fotógrafo oficial, me lo arriesgué a todo o nada: escribí a la dueña del negocio un correo adjuntando mi portafolio online y proponiéndole que si no tenían fotógrafo fijo, estaría encantada de ofrecer voluntariamente mis servicios para documentar cualquier tipo de taller o evento que tuvieran.

Like I mentioned in this post, I was pretty bummed I couldn't take pictures at Tarta&Arte, since I really wanted to show you guys this place. But I managed to get their email, and that night I stalked around their Facebook page. After seeing they had no clear, official photographer, I decided to put on my gutsy pants and take a risk: I emailed the owner, sent her the link to my photography website, and basically offered to take pictures for free at any events, workshops, etc. they might have.

Me respondió más que rápidamente y me comunicó que al día siguiente justamente tenían una clase de decoración de galletas, y que pese a saberlo con tan poca antelación, podía pasarme si quería. No lo dude ni un momento y fue una mañana muy productiva. Estoy muy contenta con el resultado de las fotos, de haber conocido a Glenda (la dueña de Tarta& Arte), de haber aprendido más de su negocio (son gente muy fiel a la calidad con sus productos), ¡y también de haber aprendido un montón sobre repostería en general!

She answered really quickly and told me right on the next day they were holding a cookie decoration class and she'd be glad if I stopped by to take pictures. I didn't doubt it for a second and it was such a productive morning. I'm really happy with the outcome of the pictures (these are just some of my favorites), so glad to have met the owner Glenda, to have learned more about their business (these people are so loyal to product quality), and also, to have learned a lot about baking in general!

Si sois de Granada, o venis por aquí, y os interesa el tema, recomiendo estas clases 100%. Pasaréis una muy buena mañana y aprenderéis de una gran profesional. 

So if you're from Granada, or come around sometime, and are interested in fancy baking, I recommend these classes 100%. You'll have a great time and have the chance to learn from a great professional!! 

ESE MOMENTO INCÓMODO CUANDO...

tienes que escribir la primera entrada de tu blog. Según el protocolo bloggero, debería ser una entrada contundente, impactante, mediante la cual puedas convencer (sin alardear demasiado, pero sin ser aburridamente humilde) a la gente de que merecerá la pena seguirte, leerte, y al fin y al cabo, empezar a conocerte.

According to blogger etiquette, this post is crucial, and should be striking enough to try to convince people (without sounding neither boastful nor too boringly mild) that following you, reading you regularly, and eventually getting to know you a bit by your blog will be worth it.

Personalmente, he decidido que ni siquiera voy a hacer un intento de endulzar la situación: solo se que debería estar durmiendo. Son las diez de la mañana de un día de vacaciones, y encima me estoy retando a no tomar café... las cosas como son. 

Personally, I am not even going to try to sugar-coat the situation: I should be sleeping. It's around 10AM of a spring break day, and moreover, I'm challenging myself with a coffee-free week so... I'll just drop things as they are.

Tengo 16 para 17 años, vivo en Granada, España, y este blog era algo que llevaba queriendo hacer durante mucho tiempo. Colgaré fotos de mis outfits, y tutoriales de cualquier manualidad o DIY que me traiga entre manos. Compartiré con vosotros toda promoción o chollo que encuentre y pueda resultaros interesante, y también es posible que se me cuele algún post sobre colecciones de alguna firma o marca que me hagan mucha mucha ilusión...

I am 16 turning 17 this year, I live in Granada (Spain) and I had wanted to open up this blog for a long time. I'll post personal outfit pictures, and tutorials/DIY of any craft-sy project I lay my hands on. I'll try to share with you any bargains, great deals, coupons, etc. that you might find interesting. The possibility that you might see posts with pictures from clothing/accessories/shoes collections I get overly excited about is also very real.
